Mo-vlogging with the Veronicas
Jeremy sends an email that's worth reposting for its angle on instant videoblogging:
I thought you would be interested in this mobile video blog experiment I'm using to launch a new band on Sire records tomorrowThe Veronicas are two 20 year-old identical twins from Brisbane Australia, Jess and Lisa. They have real talent, and a very close relationship with their fans. They've always been comfortable with technology and frequently use their phones to communicate with fans. They have a big following via their textamerica community.
Tomorrow, the veronicas will be all over New York to promote their debut CD. This is a big day - lots of press, radio visits, meeting their fans, and a sold out concert that night.
We've equipped the girls and two fans with Nokia 8162's, and this new software from Shozu that makes video blogging easy and fast. The band and their fans will chronicle this day through video blogs on a special text America page. Updates go up within a minute - the shozu software is in Beta, but once you get it working, it seems to be easy and quick.
it's just a test see if we can capture the excitement, and learn how to create video blogs from different perspectives.
We've got a few more ideas, and lots of bands to try things with so let me know what you think!
The event will be broadcast from Textamerica.com here on Tuesday, Valentine's Day.

San Francisco Bay
Here's some brief footage of the San Francisco Bay Bridge taken from the Embarcadero along the east side of San Francisco a few days ago. Without voice, no synchronization problems in this footage taken with a Nokia N70.
