Josh Wolf on prison, journalism and Colbert

Independent journalist Josh Wolf just announced he's running for mayor of San Francisco. I caught up with him a few days ago to talk about the media, jail time, and Stephen Colbert in this 8-minute video interview.

Here's Scott Beale on the announcement and Chuck Olsen with a preview.

Josh's experience, combined with his way of describing it, really brings up some fundamental issues about the relationship between the journalist and the government, as well as what constitutes "journalist". Very interesting interview ... I enjoyed it.
