Jarah Euston on FresnoFamous

Here's video #3 for Videoblogging Week (see others' videos at MeFeedia). I talk with Jarah Euston, one of my fave people in the world of citizen media. Jarah is the co-founder of FresnoFamous.com and ModestoFamous.com, which she sold to McClatchy newspapers shortly after this interview.  We talk about some of the issues that a citizen media publisher and editor confronts in terms of fairness, transparency, accuracy and community involvement. We shot it at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, Calif.

The video is part of the Center for Citizen Media's Principles of Citizen Journalism project.

Quote: "People email us saying, 'You guys should totally write a story about this.' And then we email them back, 'No, you should totally write a story about this.' ... And that usually works."

Formats:
MPEG-4
Windows Media
Flash (with deep tags at MotionBox that let you skip through parts of the interview)
Length: 26:00
